New Community Film Launched: Living With No Recourse: Voices From the North East

We are proud to share the release of a powerful new short community film, Living With No Recourse: Voices From the North East, created by the No Recourse North East (NRNE) Lived Experience Group, with production support from SHMU.
This film brings into view the real, everyday impact of No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) — a policy often hidden in legal language, yet deeply felt across the lives of individuals and families in our region. Through personal testimony and collective reflection, the film centres the voices of people with lived experience of NRPF, highlighting resilience, barriers to support, and the human cost of restrictive immigration policy.
